Latest shopping landmark

It's the latest shopping landmark on Nungambakkam High Road. It's the Louis Philippe flagship store, which offers a different shopping experience — both in terms of ambience and product range.
To establish the brand's "complete wardrobe" identity, the uncluttered store stocks an impressive collection of formal shirts and trousers, high-end suits, contra-formals and tees, besides accessories like belts, socks, cufflinks and ties.
The store, envisioned like a "gallery", boasts a systematic display in terms of pricing and colours.
The latest collection of Louis Philippe - The Upper Crest's "Spirit of Italy Spring/ Summer '05, naturally hogs the spotlight as it celebrates the colours of the season. So there are shirts in bright pink, turquoise, green, yellow and even orange. Whoever said men's dressing is about drab blues and basic blacks, think again. The wrinkle-free trousers priced at Rs. 1,699, come in different colour yarns, woven into different textures.
The crinkle of cotton and the comfort of linen come together in the line of cotton-linen tee shirts (Rs. 1,199).
The other attractions include a luxury line of shirts (Rs. 4,000), Z-shirt (cotton-knit blend), cotton silk T-shirts and Polo tees.
If you are shopping for suits, then the range spans high-end ones from its Gods and Kings line and pure linen to those with innovative touches like the Indian-style round neck and corduroy creations.
The suits section has a bunch of mannequins donning the creations and striking various poses to help one choose.
